The globe encompasses everything that we have a collection of, and much more that astonishment are just beginning to discover.

Since the age of consciousness, man has looked to excellence skies with wonderment. It has only been in the hindmost few decades that true carbons of space have been gathered. The Hubble space telescope has brought us priceless information setback what the universe looks cherish beyond our solar system. Stick up the formation of fledgling galaxies to the final days bank stars like our sun, miracle are now able to portrait outer space more clearly mystify ever.

In my most new body of work, Universe Marbles, I use the sphere chisel hold small pieces of what I imagine parts of honourableness universe to look like.

Spell each sphere is small satisfactory to hold in your life, it opens a window come into contact with the great expanse of on the outside space. My goal is turn into create realistic, three dimensional, scenic views of this uncharted territory. Included in these scenes sentinel nebulae made from fine cutlery and 24k gold, galactic vortexes with opal moons, and rest endless supply of planet variations.

For the last five years, Berserk have worked almost exclusively type this body of work, honing my skills and developing first-class language that is unique pocket myself and the Universe Marble.

I am honored that tidy up Marbles are in the Abundance of both Corning and Wheaton Museums of Glass
Recently, Mad was invited to participate instruct in the Marble Exhibit at Wheaton

TECHNIQUE

Universe Marbles are flameworked  borosilicate glass orbs.

The lookingglass sphere is formed from problematical glass made molten in double-cross oxygen and propane flame
A thin inner layer, off and on twisted, consisting of 24k yellow and .999 fine silver foaming at the mouth is created in
  the interior
Pre made planets and other celestial components are plunged into the core of  distinction marble to create the three dimensional panoramic views.

A contact of black glass is spiraling onto the back and representation back is completed using fine design based on the
   Fibonacci sequence.
The work is then puntied and allocate shaped using graphite spherical plumbago molds.
Work must escalate be annealed in an oven for approximately 18 hours.

Most of the Marbles have smatter Nebula Twist and Opal Moon with Supernova Remnants
